It is FREEZING! All I seem to want to do is climb in bed...under the covers and dream about anything but snow.

Grey Days
I've loved this outfit since the first time I saw it! Talk about the ultimate in dressy comfort! And to think she made the skirt? Fantastic!
It's not quite the same...but I'm definitely considering this skirt to create my own grey jersey uniform...

Candy Striping.
I have had a blank chalkboard accent wall in my kitchen for over a year now. I just can't seem to decide what to draw, write, etc. which is a bit ridiculous seeing as none of it is permanent. Well with the family coming up for Christmas Eve I think I need to suck it up and chalk up that black clean canvas. I'm leaning toward some candy stripping...perhaps red and white for the holidays? Look at me being all adventurous with uniform stripes. hahaha what a joke.

Domestification, is that a word?
Perhaps it's the new-found spare time on my hands...or an effort to stay busy...but I went domestic today. The Chocolate Dipped Citrus was actually kinda fun to make.
The recipe called for Oranges, but I threw in some Grapefruits for good measure. Take the peels from both fruits and slice into thin strips. Blanch the peels 2-3 times. Create a simple syrup using 1 cup water and 1 cup sugar in a saucepan, simmer peels for about an hour. Cool. Melt dark (or milk, who cares-chocolate is chocolate) chocolate with a double boiler. Dip. Allow to cool/dry on wax paper. And you're done!
With the extra chocolate sauce I dipped some raw cranberries so I can add some color to my concoction. I'm considering even freezing them...could be interesting.
Rub a dub dub
With this weather all I'd really like to do is soak in a hot hot bath with a good book a hot cup of Joe...and I'd be golden! I'd die for this bathroom!

Brrr....
When it comes to the cold, I'm a giant giant baby. Without a speck of snow on the ground, I'll gladly don my long parka, snow boots, hat and gloves...and still find myself freezing. Here are a few ideas of how to stay warm this winter.
The original Frye Campus Boot with a Shearling Lining?!??! YES PLEASE! Not to mention a rubber sole to keep you off your a*&!
I feel like a bit of a flasher when I wear this coat, as though I should have nothing on underneath...hahaha. But this thing will keep you warmer than anything I've ever found. North Face Metropolis Parka
What's better than a little faux fur?
And last but definitely not least...
